It’s located on a mountain bluff overlooking Asheville and is the setting for one of the more unforgettable hotels in the country.  Presidents and dignitaries stay here, but visiting for lunch or drinks is one of the finer opportunities in Asheville.  Google Grove Park Omni Resort for the list of restaurants and events.  The Sunset Terrace fine dining will not disappoint (resort casual dress, reservations required).  There are four other restaurants for every budget, but the Grand Hall (lobby) is the perfect place for meeting with friends for a drink before or after dinner.   The Grand Hall fireplaces are massive and are wonderful during the winter.  The resort spa is exceptional and day passes, if you can find them, are surprisingly affordable.
