This is the mecca so it’s hard to go wrong.  Some favorites:  The Wicked Weed:  still the hippest brewery in Asheville even after the sellout.  They are next door to  Asheville’s most earthy concert venue-The Orange Peel….The Green Man was one of the first Asheville breweries. The pub is in the heart of downtown Asheville and is always buzzing….The Funkatorium (impressively complex)….Highlands (huge local scene, usually has bands on weekends, food trucks, rooftop bar, just an awesome venue)….Sierra Nevada, the Disney World of breweries.  It’s huge, has an amazing tour, and is a fun way to spend a rainy day.
