Designed for romance and relaxation, this 1-bedroom luxury retreat offers a serene spa experience, featuring king-sized suite with a balcony, private 4-person hot tub, memory foam mattress, and fine Egyptian cotton linens. A soothing European minimalist design complements farmhouse touches, creating the perfect backdrop for couples to slow down and reconnect.

Most who come to this area seek regionally famous attractions: Asheville, the Biltmore Estate, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Mt Mitchell State Park, and the Smokies….all within striking distance. Yet, most who stay with us, instead, fall in love with our small, magical, sometimes quirky, town...Black Mountain. With its growing reputation as a small town resort, Black Mountain has become the most visited Asheville satellite (per capita) in the region, and an outdoor mecca. With Montreat village only 5 minutes from the house, offering quick access to pristine Pisgah National Forest trails, our once secluded small town has become one of the most sought after destinations in Western North Carolina.
We provide an 8 oz bag of local coffee, a selection of K-cups, and assorted teas along with creamer and sugar. The house has drip, Keurig, and French press coffee makers. For the kitchen, olive oil, Balsamic vinegar, and spices, a slow cooker, blender, and everything you need for full meal service and prep. A propane grill is also furnished on the 1st floor back deck with grill utensils and propane provided.
Regarding household essentials, we provide paper towels, toilet paper, napkins, trash/recycling bags, Cascade dish detergent, Mrs. Meyer’s dish soap, Mrs. Meyer’s Multi-surface Everyday Cleaner, laundry detergent along with Olay body wash and Nexxus shampoo and conditioner in each shower.
In regards to the house, there is Smart cable TV with Netflix and Prime. There is no smoking or vaping inside, but instead please enjoy your smokes on the private deck. For little ones, there is a high chair,baby gate, baby bath, and a Pack n’ Play. For families-cornhole, board games, books, and a firepit and outdoor furniture with firewood provided.
For those doing remote work, a printer, dedicated workspace, and fast WiFi.
For everyone else, a dry sauna and a hot tub at 104 degrees on our 1st floor back deck.

Check-in Instructions:
At 6 AM on the day of your arrival at The Romantic Downtown Hideaway, you will receive an email with your front door keyless code, along with images guiding you to the property, parking, and entry door, making your arrival and check-in as seamless as possible.
* Regarding an early check-in or a late check-out, we have an option to purchase these in our Intown Guest Store: https://app.thehost.co/store/19211/. This gives you the option for a 2 pm check-in instead of the standard 3 pm or an 11 am check-out instead of the standard 10 am. These are the earliest possible check-in or check-out times as our cleaning crews are still hard at work preparing the house for your arrival or preparing for our next guests.
Pets
We’re a strict hypoallergenic listing, so unfortunately we don’t allow emotional support animals in this unit. However, please see our other pet listing (below). Alternatively, if you’d be interested in boarding your pet, there’s an excellent boutique kennel nearby, 5 stars: Buckeye Kennels.
